Pathway controls description
The control constructs (between 4 and 10 clones) are housekeeping and random promoters that are unlikely to respond to the pathway stimulus. These control constructs were used to correct for non-specific changes in overall signal based on application of a stimulus. For example, some compounds are much more toxic than a control stimulus like DMSO. A toxic compound may result in a significant decrease in overall luciferase signal across the entire panel in a non-promoter-specific manner.
