Interferon Response (STAT1) Pathway Products

SwitchGear STAT1 Pathway Screening Sets

STAT1 belongs to the family of Signal Transducers and Activator of Transcription (STAT) which regulates cell growth, differentiation, survival, and apoptosis. STAT1 also plays a role in immune response and mediates interferon signaling. Dysregulation of STAT1 and thus the STAT1-associated pathways has further been observed as a characteristic in tumorigenesis and in immunosuppression as observed in mycobacterial and viral diseases. Understanding the mechanisms of how STAT1 regulates various gene pathways gives further insight into the roles of STAT1 in normal development, pathology, and targeted drug development.

SwitchGear Genomics offers a comprehensive panel of cell-based reporter assays that allow you to accurately quantify transcriptional activation and repression in response to STAT1 pathway activation. Our promoter assays includes an empirically-validated collection of promoters of genes that are targets of STAT1. The SwitchGear STAT1 promoter reporters help to reveal the coordinated action of genes responsible in the STAT1 pathway and the mechanism by which these genes regulate normal development and disease conditions. In addition, SwitchGear offers UTR reporter assays that measure transcript stability, translational repression, miRNA function.

Applications

The SwitchGear collection of STAT1-relevant promoter reporters allows you to:

  • Understand the mechanisms by which STAT1 regulated genes are induced or repressed
  • Quantify the functional consequences of transcription factor binding – while many other technologies give a qualitative view of transcription factor level, our promoter reporter assays quantify the effects of transcription factor binding
  • Confirm data from ChIP-chip or ChIP-sequencing experiments
  • Measure the effect of sequence variants and mutagenesis on promoter function
  • Screen for promoter activation or develop activity profiles across the STAT1 signaling pathway for many compounds or conditions in parallel

SwitchGear also offers 3′UTR reporters for studying transcriptional stability, translational repression, and miRNA function. Read more about this technology.
